Portable Jar Tester

Positive gear drive with variable speed mixing
A small, fractional horsepower gear head motor drives the stainless steel agitators. Agitator speed is variable from 6 to 250 RPM. Each agitator can be operated independently or in combination with the other agitators. The speed is adjusted with a dial potentiometer. Optional digital readout of the agitator speed is available.

Diffused lighting
Fluorescent lighting is installed in the bottom of the case. The lights are beneath a white opaque acrylic shelf. This acrylic shelf serves as a support for the 1000ml beakers and diffuses the light from below up through the sample being mixed which aids in evaluating floc particle size, measuring clarity, or effective liquid-solids separation. A switch provides on-off light control.

Sturdy, compact, and self-contained
The case is of sturdy construction making it suitable for field use. The entire front of the case is removable making the agitators and controls readily accessible. There is room on the light shelf for storage of 1000ml beakers during transport and the lid has clamps for securing pipettes. A heavy duty handle on the lid allows easy transport of the jar mixer in the field.
