Different from general refractometers in the principle of measurement, Atago's digital salt-meter is in a version of a salt-meter.
The digital salt-meter accurately measures the level of salinity without being influenced by the other contents in the liquid.
The digital salt-meter, ES-421 employs a funnel-shaped sensor section (which applies the principle of electric conductivity), to measure the salt % of a sample (dilute solution of soy sauce, ketchup, mayonnaise, Worcester sauce, squeezed juice of pickles, etc). A very small sample is needed (approximately 1.0ml is enough for measurement).

Taking only 2 seconds to provide the user with a measurement, this model is dust-tight and protected against splashing water (International Protection Class IP64).
