View DatasheetSchmidt & Haensch manual polarimeters determine concentrations of sugars, perfumes, and many other optically active solutions. Mercury wavelength(546nm) light is perfect for pharmaceutical applications.
Both polarizer and analyzer are fitted with polarizing filters. The filter is a thin two-piece quartz disc that produces a divided field of view through the eyepiece. The eyepiece attached to the analyzer is tilted 15° from horizontal which makes operation convenient and comfortable. The mercury light has a 9.5° half-shadow angle in the analyzer.
Polarimeters come with a long-life halogen lamp that is immediately ready to use when unit is switched on. Polarimeters accept sample tubes up to 220-mm long (8.7in long).
