RTD Probes
Resistance thermometers, also called resistance temperature detectors (RTDs), are sensors used to measure temperature. The theory of electrical resistance for a metal item increasing as the temperature increase is the leading driver for these probes. RTDs are considered to be more accurate than thermocouple probes, but are more temperature sensitive and cannot be used with very high temperatures.
