Griffco High Flow-Series Pressure Relief Valve, (10 to 150 PSI, 316 SS, 1/2" NPT)
Griffco High Flow-Series Pressure Relief Valve, (10 to 150 PSI, 316 SS, 1/2" NPT)
Griffco high flow diaphragm pressure relief valves are designed to protect chemical transfer systems from over‑pressure conditions in demanding feed applications. As stated in the datasheet, “Griffco high flow diaphragm pressure relief valves are designed to protect chemical transfer systems from over pressure damage caused by defective equipment or a blockage in the chemical line.”
- Model: PRHF050SOSS (High Flow-Series)
- Connection Type: 1/2" NPT
- Pressure Adjustment: 0–150 psi (field adjustable)
- Flow Rates @ 150 psi: 600 USgph (pulsating), 30 USgpm (continuous)
- Maximum Temperature: 300 °F (all‑metal construction)
Materials of Construction
- Valve Body: 316 Stainless Steel
- Valve Top: 316 Stainless Steel (OSS option)
- Diaphragm: PTFE / EPDM
Operation: The diaphragm is held against the valve seat by an internal spring and opens when system pressure exceeds the set point. The datasheet notes: “The valves are pre-set for 50 psi, however they are field adjustable from 10–150 psi via the adjustment screw.”
Applications: Chemical metering pump protection, water treatment systems, industrial chemical transfer, and return‑to‑tank or suction‑line relief installations.
