Inertia Demonstrator – Classic Physics Apparatus for Motion Analysis
The IDEM01 Inertia Demonstrator from United Scientific is a durable, tabletop device designed to illustrate Newton’s First Law of Motion. A steel ball rests atop a thin metal card on a pillar, while a spring-loaded piston mechanism delivers a sharp strike to the card. The card flies out, but the ball remains in place—demonstrating inertia in action. A second experiment allows slow cord pulling, causing both ball and card to fall together. Includes an activity guide for classroom use.
