This apparatus is useful for holding objects that are too large for standard clamps, such as glass distillation columns and odd-shaped glassware. The chain and support band are made of strong chrome-plated brass, while the support rod is constructed of stainless steel. Chain links bend to conform to the shape of the object being held, and a tension spring locks the links in place to firmly secure apparatus.
The chain is 21″ long and can be adjusted to support objects from 2″ to 6.5″ in diameter. The support rod measures 8.5″ in length and 0.46″ in diameter. Tips feature an ABS coating with a working temperature range of –20 °C to 80 °C, ensuring durability and safe use in laboratory environments.
