This large Van de Graaff generator offers two drive modes—hand-cranked and motor-driven—delivering reliable charge and sparks 10 cm long or more, even in high humidity. The unit features a 28 cm diameter polished steel sphere (more dent- and scratch-resistant than aluminum) and includes a built-in lamp near the belt that emits a small amount of UV light when activated, increasing motor load as a visible teaching aid.
