The ProCulture® Orbital Shaker Platform converts a standard magnetic stirrer into an orbital shaker, eliminating the need for dedicated shaking equipment and saving valuable bench space. Ideal for use inside CO₂ incubators for cell culture growth or Western Blot processing, the platform operates by transferring the magnetic stirrer’s rotational motion into a 21.7 mm orbital shaking pattern. According to the operating instructions, the platform must be centered on a clean, dry magnetic stirrer surface and tested at low speed before use. The manufacturer cautions that magnetic stirrers with heating functions must not be used with heat activated, as the plastic construction may be permanently damaged. “If heat has been used previously, do not use the stirrer with the ProCulture® Orbital Shaker Platform until the surface of the stirrer has cooled.”
